Founder & Managing Director
Vesper works across China, Europe and the United States, with a focus on new energy, technology and international expansion. She holds Master’s and PhD degrees from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on the development, industry ecosystems and internationalization of the new energy and electric vehicle sectors. This work has given her deep insight into the evolution of China’s technology industries, its policy environment and the pathways through which Chinese companies expand globally.
Through years of industry research and cross-border engagement, Vesper has built a professional network spanning industry leaders, businesses, academics, investors, and policy and institutional stakeholders. Drawing on her extensive study, work and life experience across China, the United States and Europe, she has developed strong industry and commercial connections across all three markets.
Based between Cambridge, UK and Geneva, Switzerland, Vesper leads Velian Advisory’s cross-border strategy, market entry, strategic partnerships and global resource integration, combining industry insight, international perspective and cross-border networks to turn international expansion strategies into tangible market outcomes.
Yuan Ren
Director, Venture Building & Business Development
Yuan is a serial entrepreneur and Chartered Engineer with over 12 years of experience across technology and industrial sectors, including automotive, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and energy. Combining a strong technical background with hands-on commercial experience, he has built and scaled multiple consumer brands for U.S. and European markets from the ground up, achieving successful exits and gaining end-to-end experience spanning product positioning, brand building, market expansion and business operations.
At Velian Advisory, Yuan leads venture building, business model development, business development, strategic partnerships and market execution, helping companies turn market opportunities into actionable and sustainable international businesses.
Nova Fan
Director, Digital Commerce & AI
Nova brings more than seven years of experience across U.S. e-commerce operations, commercial data analytics and digital growth. She has supported U.S. market expansion initiatives for DJI and several publicly listed Chinese consumer brands, with hands-on expertise in Amazon marketplace operations, cross-border e-commerce and data-driven growth. Her background also includes Forward-Deployed Engineering (FDE) and AI transformation consulting, with a focus on translating emerging AI capabilities into practical, deployable business processes and operating systems.
At Velian Advisory, Nova leads digital commerce, U.S. e-commerce growth, data-driven operations and AI implementation, helping companies build integrated growth systems that connect digital customer acquisition, channel operations and AI-enabled workflows.
